Point Pleasant
Point Pleasant is a small community in Mason County, West Virginia in United States. It is a quaint and picturesque community situated at the convergence of two rivers of Ohio and Kanawha. These two rivers flowing quietly with the Appalachian Mountains in the far side, offer an attractive getaway for a weekend holiday or a weeklong vacation. The weather is mostly sunny and warm. This vibrant city stands mute testimony to the Battle of Point Pleasant that was fought 240 years ago. A replica of Fort Randolph was built in 1973-74 and dedicated as part of the double century festivities. The town of Point Pleasant was situated over the site of the fort and so the replica is located at Krodel Park, about one mile away. In the Central town there is a unique statute of a man with wings like a moth known as Mothman. Point Pleasant's pictorial landscape leaves you breathless and exhilarated
