Hobbs
A city with a little over 35,000 residents, Hobbs is the principal city of the New Mexico Micropolitan Statistical Area of Lea County. The city is inland and spans over 18.9 square miles. It is primarily composed of family households, and is home to a number of famous racetracks used for racing thoroughbred and quarter horse. Being located in Eastern New Mexico means that the city experiences a semi-arid climate, with hot summers and chilly winters. In addition, many famous football and basketball players claim the city as their home.
