San Clemente
San Clementine, California can be found in Orange County halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles. It is unofficially known in the area as a one-stop surfing headquarters. Four of the main surfing magazines are headquartered here – Longboard Magazine, The Surfer's Journal, and Surfing Magazine are all located here. There are more than eight major surfboard manufacturers based in San Clemente, and several legendary surfing champions grew up here or relocated to the area. Aside from surfing, one of the most notorious residents of San Clemente was Richard Nixon, the 37th President of the United States. Others include horror film actor Lon Chaney, Jr., NFL football player Brian de la Puente, and Carl Karcher, the founder of the fast food burger chain that is named after him, Carl's Jr. With a temperature range of 64° to the mid-70s, San Clemente is the place to be if you like a moderate climate and you aren't too attached to the changing seasons.
