Independence
Sterling Acres is home to shopping malls and residential neighborhoods. It sits on the border of Independence and Kansas City in Missouri. Interstate 70 runs through the northern part of the Sterling Acres neighborhood, and U.S. Highway 40 is also a presence in the area. The community is close to all the fun things to do in Independence, including the museums, the Missouri River, and the hiking, biking, and fishing.
With the lakes, rivers, trails, and history within a few minutes' drive, it's hard to stay still in Sterling Acres. People can be found getting out as often and as much as they can. Whether they want to do some fishing over at Riss Lake or walk along the banks of the Missouri River or the Blue River, there's too much to do to stay home.
