Sparks
Sparks is one of the cities within Washoe County, Nevada and is slightly to the east of Reno. This city has an area of almost 36 square miles and a population of about 90,000, making it the fifth largest city in the entire state. It is situated right in the Truckee Meadows right between the Virginia and Carson Mountain Ranges which leads to some beautiful scenery within the city.
For years Sparks has been a major tourist attraction in the area with various annual events and amazing parks in the area. One of the largest and most popular of these parks is Whitewater Park at Rock Park but there are others spread throughout the city.
Students who live in Sparks attend one of the public schools that are in the Washoe County School District or can go to one of the local private schools. The city of Sparks is connected to nearby areas via Pyramid Way - which is State Route 445 - and McCarran Boulevard - which is State Route 659.
