In 2012, Money Magazine listed Beaverton, Oregon, as one of the top 100 places to live in the United States. Even though life can be on the expensive side, the magazine commended the city’s beautiful beaches and mountains, and efforts to introduce green initiatives. As part of Washington County, Beaverton is only seven miles away from Portland.
