Burlington
The largest city in the state, Burlington, Vermont, is home to over 42,000 people and it is a retail center with the largest employer being the Fletcher Allen Health Care center. It is home to the University of Vermont, so there is a good number of young adults here who enjoy the culture and the legacy of the town as a launching pad for some national music acts.
There are many buildings and sites here in Burlington that are included on the National Register of Historic Places including the Ethan Allen Homestead, the Masonic Temple, and the Follet House that add character to the city.
Burlington is home to minor league baseball, basketball, and hockey, so there is something to do here all year round. It is close to the mountains and some good skiing in the winter months. This is a beautiful place to live with things to do for every age. It is close to the big city, yet has a laid-back country appeal to it that residents love.
